Digital Criminal 2012: CyberSafety, which launched in March, highlights new dangers posed by digital criminals and emphasises a need for people to do more to protect themselves when using social media.

Research found that over 91% of Brits using social media at least once a week have been asked to connect with someone they have never met. Over half (51%) accepted these requests. Burglars are exploiting this trusting attitude by creating networks of fake profiles to target people.
